I had friends who worked for Amex in the tower opposite the WTC. A favourite lunch spot was the Pink Pearl restaurant at the bottom of one of the towers… I forget which one. I haven’t been to NYC since.
The passage of time will confirm it, but I think the attack on Iran, as unprovoked as it was, will be seen as an inflection point—the end of the beginning so to speak.

How anyone can possibly take seriously a man who started rambling about the drapes in the room and musing about how much he likes the color gold during a speech like that is BEYOND ME.
