Follow the money for sure. Already the backdrop of a black tie fat cat party at Mara-Lago to celebrate as troops are sent into war. Or his unhinged presser today when he talks about curtains and how he loves gold while gloating about his ball room project. He could give a fuck about Iranians, he just as soon sick ICE on them than liberate them. Sorry for the rant.

Sigh… ☹️ It’s always the freaking money for them. While people DIE.

When Trump started burbling in his self-congratulatory way about how much he “loves the color gold” I almost threw my TV out the window. He’s BATSHIT crazy. And the press continues to ignore it.

The main stream media is an utter failure right now. When Biden flubbed the debate they hounded congress for WEEKS! "Did you know Joe was old?"

Since the 2024 primaries they've ignored Trump's decline. Again, follow the money. He gets eyeballs, they sell more pharmaceutical ads, they get rich. Maddening!

Yep. You nailed it. ☹️

I love your analogy with 9-11. It seems that we are now hostages in a car driven by our power-drunk, narcissistic, crazed, moronic patriarch. He's "Troki," the God of Chaos. I'm praying that our congress grabs the wheel before WWIII breaks out.

Thanks!

And Oooh - I love the car analogy! Also have never heard of Troki? 🤔 [furiously scribbles notes]

Yeah. I share your prayer.

I made up the term "Troki". It's Trump + Loki, Scandinavian God of Chaos, lately from the Avenger movies. Glad you like it. :)

Oh wow! It’s AWESOME. 😎

The worst of times but possibly the best, the explosion of the patriarchal pedo crust that has existed for almost a thousand years.

Oooooh an outcome devoutly to be hoped for! Love “crust” in this context. Chef’s 😘

I trace the crust back to when lineage traced through mother's family name was replaced with tracing through the father's family name.

Great writing, Kira!

I had friends who worked for Amex in the tower opposite the WTC. A favourite lunch spot was the Pink Pearl restaurant at the bottom of one of the towers… I forget which one. I haven’t been to NYC since.

The passage of time will confirm it, but I think the attack on Iran, as unprovoked as it was, will be seen as an inflection point—the end of the beginning so to speak.

What will the good citizens of the US now do? @MikeBrock has some good ideas.

Kira Thomsen-Cheek's avatar

Thanks, Doug! 😊 I really appreciate that!

Oh yes - the Amex offices were horribly damaged by debris from the main towers. The Pink Pearl probably closed. So many places did.

I agree about Iran. “The end of the beginning,” or something like that. It seems like a turning point of some kind. Momentous - just not entirely sure how yet.

I will check out Mike Brock! I need all the good ideas I can get RN. I think we all do.

The Pink Pearl was in the Mezzanine of one of the towers and was certainly destroyed that day.

@Mike Brock is advocating (strongly) for impeachment of Trump and his reality-show cast of cabinet criminals. If the Dems pushed it, and the population backed it in a general strike, it could happen.

But inaction now will pave the way for a declaration of emergency and suspension of elections.

That is the kind of moment this is.

Oh hell. Yeah - gone.

Listened to Trump’s speech at the medal presentation today. How anyone can possibly take seriously a man who started rambling about the drapes in the room and musing about how much he likes the color gold during a speech like that is BEYOND ME. The Emperor’s New Clothes isn’t fiction. The man is a swivel-eyed loon,

Dems pushing it plus a general strike? Could it happen? I wish it could. I doubt Americans have the grit. I would like to be proven wrong. I mean - we rose to the occasion with ICE in Minneapolis!

The Bohr model was replaced by the concept of orbitals as clouds of probability density rather than planet-like orbits. Interestingly the lowest orbital (1s) gives the highest probability for the position of the electron to be in the nucleus :-)

Great article though, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the info! 😀
